When it comes down to it, we cannot do the hard work for each orphan … for them. They must do the work themselves. We cannot swing the bat for them. In the end, they must swing the bat for themselves. All we can do is train them, teach them, and give them the best opportunity possible to swing the bat and hit the ball.
The UkrainianOrphanProject desires each child to have a bat to swing. It is borne out of the charity nonprofit ViktorsVoice which is a 501(c)(3) founded in 2016. ViktorsVoice was inspired by trips to Ukraine with David and Jane Daulton, who have been working with Ukrainian orphans for decades.
Since our first trip in 2015, we saw, heard, held, and learned about the orphans in Ukraine and the orphanages they live in. We learned about the challenges that the caregivers are under. And from this, we started the nonprofit ViktorsVoice. The goal being to help the orphans be a part of loving and caring families.
One of the results has been growing relationships within Ukraine with Ukrainian friends, in country and out of country pastors, churches in the US and Ukraine, nonprofits, NGO’s and others with the same heart.
And out of belonging to a loving family, have the opportunity to swing the bat with God’s encouragement through their existing or newfound family.
